True or False, IQ from the EPL1 is Superior to EPL2

I have both the LP 1 and LP2 and I see no real difference in any image quality and the menus are just as complex. I am plagued by features that appear and suddenly disappear. Case in point, changes in shutter speed or aperture that affect light reaching sensor are not shown on the LCD until AFTER the picture is taken.
