Hello Raptor

I was out shooting for two days and tried to imagine using your idea, but honestly, in the type of photography I do, it would be very difficult.
For wildlife photographer even more.

I disagree, but even if you are correct it doesn't mean that something similar to what I have suggested can't be use in any kind of "Capture date rule" Challenges.

For me, if a photographer removes the EXIF for an entry in a challenge with date rules, it is because it should not be seen; the image has not been taken inside the date rules!

Some Entrants do not do it deliberately, sometimes it is a by product of the software being used, not everyone can afford to use CS5.

Agree, but normally YOU have the choice to "save as" with or without EXIF;

Examples below:

Same photographer, 3 entries, 3 different challenges with "Images must be shot after the announcement date of the challenge.", 3 times the EXIF removed!

http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Entry.aspx?ID=653177

http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Entry.aspx?ID=654200

The photographer (who also works as a photographer) has plenty of images with EXIF data in his gallery; why have those 3 images no more EXIF?

Even if the EXIF is present, it proves absolutely nothing . . . and EXIF can be easily faked, without needing any special software, even just using MSPaint . . .

it seems your picture was taken with a 7D and your name is Terence SK LAI, check the full EXIF.

Yes obviously you can manipulate any image... Terence didn't tell me about his 7D, still nice portrait!

Here the same image with full EXIF:

I removed the EXIF in an entry in a challenge few months back (no date rules), as I was the target for sandbagging (you can see the camera serial number): it worked, the image was not spotted:

I doubt very much that anyone is trawling through all the images in challenges trying to find your camera serial number in the EXIF . . . there are much, much simpler ways to find your entries.

It was the best I came with. I do not know of simpler ways! Now I have an even better solution, as you recommended ones; stop participating in challenges!
