Re: Get Leica 100, 180 apo and zeiss 50 MP, and 21

Nothing in longer ranger. THere is the leica 280/4 apo. Which suppose to be even slightly better than the 180/2.8 apo. However, I heard there were some issues converting it to Nikon F-mont or it wasn't as easy as the 180/2.8 apo, but that might be solved by now, also nikon's own lenses are great. But they are too fast for most landscape work and you'll be paying the price of carrying a huge lens around.

The other option is the nikon 200/2 with 2x extender or the 300/4 (smaller option). Take a look at this lens database for nikon d800: http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/03/d800-lens-selection

Thanks a lot. The 180 covers the midrange of what I'm looking for. Do you have any other recommendations for longer ones than the Leica R 180/2.8 APO?
