True or False, IQ from the EPL1 is Superior to EPL2

I had an EPL1 for a bit, loved everything about it except the menu. I'm looking at buying another with a 14mm lens. The EPL2 has come down considerably in price but many here have stated that the IQ is actually better from the EPL1.

Truth to this?

Oh, and a bonus question. Is the menu system any better on the EPL2 or still the shenanigans from the previous model?
