Any hope for repairing a G3?

I like the fast lens on the G3 and the articulating screen, but everything else on it is s l o w. I looked at the progression of the G series and was disappointed they killed off the 2.0 lens, though they increased it's focal range. The dealbreaker was dropping the articulating screen for so many years. I need that and it doesn't reappear until the G11, which are running mid $200s on Ebay, or pick up a Refurb G12 on Amazon for $380...a bit cheaper than jumping into a T4i. There are other choices out there like the SX40, or Panasonic FZ150
