Batch Imprint Date/Time on actual image...

Folks

Hope someone can advise.

I need to batch process a large number of images such that the Exif date and time are imprinted onto the actual image.

I know one can access all Exif data via a multitude of applications - but I need the date and time visible on the actual image, much as it can be a older PS cameras or on film cameras.

Background - I am shooting time-lapse images and combining them into a movie.

The user needs to be able to pause the movie and view on the image the date and time a particular 'frame' was shot at.

Have searched high and low and only found one application (Java) which is not flexible in terms of date formats etc.

Much appreciate any guidance

Images are being shot every 30 seconds on a Nikon D7000, via Nikon Camera Control Pro and needless to say I am on Mac
