600EX-RT Gel Holder, what does it do?

Correct me if im wrong but the camera does nothing, you simply take pictures in Raw and use the gel most apropriate to the artificial light you're facing so that later all light can look the same when you set your color temperature in raw.

You can always use a warm gel during daylight so that you can "warm" a model skin, so that they can get a "suntan" color.
