Amazing Artwork (or a supremely clever hoax)

This is not related to photography directly but amazing artwork nevertheless.

I chanced upon an article from Yahoo yesterday which features a Portuguese lawyer who "Paints" with bic pens.

I think that the work is simply amazing but my mind still cannot wrap around the idea that this is done with Bic Pens on Paper. The level of detail is staggering that it almost looks like a photo to me. What do you guys think of this ?.
I especially liked the Redhead Girl.
