Yes I would despite the two recent problems with my own S100 (which I've written about in my blog: http://www.digicamhelp.com/camera-logs/canon-s100/s100-breaks-a-second-time/ )

HOWEVER, I would advise anyone considering buying a S100 to check the serial number. Do not, do NOT buy one within the affected serial range listed in Canon's product advisory about the lens error issue.

Saying this, my next small, compact camera will be one with a larger sensor like the Sony RX100. I'm not looking to buy now but am carefully watching how this category develops.
