I have the 425. I noticed that it didn't work when only one sheet was in the tray. Maybe the problem is related to yours. I would try putting more paper in to see if it works better.

Also, there is an option buried in the driver to match the color on the monitor. It is recommended that the option be turned off when printing from applications that use color management already.

I don't remember where that option is.

I find the prints to be a little over saturated and a little dark, but overall the prints are good. I am thinking about profiling the printer to get it just a little more accurate.
