Sorry to hear your problems guys, I was thinking of buying this lens to replace my 28-75mm f/2.8 (still tamron) but especially the aperture lever problem could be an issue.

Not to prey on your misfortunes but if any of you are very disappointed with a fully working lens (meaning everything works except the 2 issues mentioned in this topic) I would be interested in purchasing one of these units if the price is especially good and if you live in the EU. I am really interested in VC especially for videos (and I am fairly sure I can workaround the aperture issue in that scenario), and if I can get this really cheap it might be worth the while even with no guarantee of a fix from Tamron
