photomatix does it work with shots taken in manual mode?

Hi

i purchased Photomatix Pro 4.2.3

and i used to work in manual mode with a remote shutter

well i took 5 shots , in manual mode

same aperture/iso , different shutter speed

but photomatix doesn't detect the ev , it pops up a windows "setting of exposure values" , and i have to set the Ev bias
but it's very exhausting

is a bug?
can you replicate my issue?
is there a tip?
