Thanks Stan. I have noticed in other comparisons (like with Canon) that Nikon pics tend to be closer to what you are looking at. With Canon and Sony, there is some pre-processing/interpretation taking place regarding color, hue, saturation, tone.
BTW. Took a quick look at some of your pics. What a delight. I suppose the ones at dpreview are with a Sony of some nomenclature??? Which one?
The ones at Smugmug??? Or are you a pro using a variety?

I have not taken any pics in RAW yet. (ony had cams a week to check them out) I suppose that is where I might find out which is catching the broadest spectrum of material to work with. I have only been shooting bunches of jpegs to familiarize myself with main functions and layout, etc. What say you about my RAW question??
