two different cameras on auto. why select different ISOs

That is the reason for this thread. The f/stop and the aperture were the same. Both cameras were on AUTO. Both selected the same aperature and f/stop in a dimly lit room (one 40-60 watt bulb under a heavy shade in 12 x14 area).

Then one selected an ISO of 3200 and the other 400. I took another similar shot closer to the dim bulb and this time, same aperture, same f/stop....but one was 1100 ISO and the other again, 400.
The higher ISO is my Nikon, the lower is the Sony a65.

I suppose it would not matter really except it could be indicative of one's flash metering not reading properly.......and that is the reason for the thread.

Now, what.
