XZ1 has, RX100 don't
I, for one, found it very meaningful to compare XZ1 and RX100. While I use the XZ-1's hot shoe for flash sometimes, it is only because XZ-1 is poor at noise. If I can shot at ISO 6400, I would not care about external flash at all. No interest in buying electronic view finder either.
I never had the interest of adding additional lenses. I would have gotten a interchangeable lens camera for less.
Remote shutter is news to me. I have a remote shutter for XZ-1 but hardly use it. Mainly for experimenting with HDR. I don't know if Sony has a timer based HDR shot, if yes, I won't need remote shutter either.
That said, I would only consider RX100 if it dropped below $500 and my XZ-1 bite the dust.

I like the RX100, but for the types of photos I take, it just doesn't cut it. These are the features I like about the XZ1:
1. Ability to use remote control.
2. Ability to use auxiliary lenses for digiscoping, afocal coupling to microscopes and telescopes.
3. Flash hot shoe
Just because the RX100 has a BIG sensor, does not mean its great in other areas; if you catch my drift.
