Milky Way shots with Nikon 14 - 24/2.8 lens

Here are three shots I took recently with my new Nikon 14 - 24/2.8. All set at 800 ISO.

Bottom left are Alpha and Beta Centauri all the way up to Altair in Aquila. Antares (Alpha Scorpio) just below centre. Centre of image is the dead heart of our Galaxy, nearly 50,000 light years away.

As for better colours, next time, I'll shoot at 200 ISO.Camera used: Nikon D3s set at Vivid picture with just a slight tweaking in RGB Channels in CS5. Any suggestions on this?
