RX100 Continuous AF (AF-C) Question
Aug 20, 2012

In the Continuous AF (AF-C) mode, when I depress the shutter half way, I notice that the image on the LCD display begins to change back and forth between two slightly different sizes, creating a pulsating effect. This pulsating effect continues as long as the shutter release is held in the half way position, but stops after taking the photograph or releasing the shutter from the half way position. Is this normal? The resulting pictures look sharp.

In the AF-S focus mode, this does not happen.

The Sony technical support person said it was normal and not a problem as long as the photos are sharp. I wasn't sure how knowledgeable the tech support person was and want to find out what other users have experiened.
Enjoy the light,

Sony RX100
