I agree. Lots of people saying things they really do not know. I use Corel Video Studio and it handles AVCHD just fine. AVCHD has higher quality than the MJPEG option of .mov files. However for simple family videos, MJPEG is fine. If you want to get into video in more depth, you need to subscribe to other forums that focus on video to learn correctly... Al
