High volume copy work.

Hi,

I have been given the task of digitally archiving around 4000 front pages of my local newspaper. I have done some copy work in the past but nothing even close to this amount.. My initial idea was, a very large copy stand with a 7d and a high end 50mm tethered to a macbook. Also I'm not sure the copy stands supplied lighting will be sufficent....I was thinking about something like these Ikan LED's, has anyone had experience along these lines? does this setup sound like a reasonable starting point? should I be looking at a leaf back on a medium format camera? or is that overkill considering it's all black and white work? any suggestions or thought on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
