Testing sensor for damage from sunset (5D III)

Just a quick question - how can I test for sensor damage from a series of sunset pictures?
I had never really played with sunrise/sunset pictures and was in Hawaii using my 5D III with the 24-105L lens, and my only thought was 'protect my eyes! I need to use Live View to get the sun in the position' ! took a series of shots pointing directly into the sunset.. Live view open for 10-15 seconds each shot to compose it. 30 odd shots in total.... Aperture always between f8 and f14.
How can I test the sensor for sun damage? Is it likely I did anything? The sun was pretty bright, but still very low on the horizon. Other photographers were standing there with their view finders up to their eyes for minutes at a time...
