Thank you, Relate2
That Cyberlink help forum is most inconvenient because one has to go through endless messages in hopes of finding the topic needed. However, I did go through quite a few pages of it to get some treatment of this specific problem.
I have learned the following, pretty much by trial and error [and wasting quite a few blank DVD discs: I had to change all file names to a sequence like 001, 002, 003, etc., leaving out any other alphanumeric characters. Then, I found out that interspersing tiff and jpeg files causes a shuffling in the burn sequence. Then, having tried a similar numbering convention, I found that to insert an additional file between ones numbered 100 and 101, I COULD NOT use 100.5 because the program sees the 100.5 as a much bigger number than 101.
To insert a new file between numbers 002 and 003, it worked to use 0003!
Then, I found out that on playback in Windows Picture Viewer and in CS5 Bridge, my above system works, while if I view the pictures in Canon's Zoombrowser [my favorite viewing program] Zoombrowser scrambles the file viewing order.
Either Cyberlink has an awkward system for file order determination, or I still don't know how to use the program.
