Elements may be the better of what you are using IF you are scanning several photos at the same time.

Example: you layout, lets say 4 or 5 4x6 images; Elements can scan and divide each image as separate images. You may have to play with having images separate not bunched together. You can edit the images and any cropping.

You can download a 30 day trial from Adobe to see if it fits your needs. A couple of books to look at is Kelby Elements, Barbra Brundage Missing manual and of course Adobe class room book series.

If you find that Elements fits your needs then look for a sale as Adobe is usually list price you may find better deals then just enter the s/n as you do not have re-install.

Also look for classes on Elements. Our computer club is running one on Elements 10 on 5 September and is free but have to buy a book. Some may charge but either way it is well worth it.
