Dramatic Fish-Eye: Trial Bike World Cup Antwerp [E-M5 PICS]
Aug 19, 2012

I went into Antwerp to hunt dramatic fisheye photos with the Olympus E-M5 and ZD8mm FE lens.

I chanced upon a number of Trial Bike riders practising for the World Cup this weekend in our city.

Obviously, I used that opportunity to maximize the drama. Graphic silhouetting fits the subject, IMHO.

Here is the gallery of my shots from the afternoon:

I shot the E-M5 in a combination of RAW and JPG, because I wanted to try out the camera's Dramatic Tone Filter (B&W version), just for the heck of it.

I ended up with most shots in the gallery being slight enhancements of the JPGs, because - frankly - I had a hard time recreating the sky tones from RAW. Details are a bit mushed-up, but the skies and silhouettes work well. After all, it is Drama that we are after...

Here are some samples:

If you liked that, there are quite a bit more here (also sequences and PP variations) :

C&C and other feedback is welcome of course, as always.
