tripods... hrmmm....

hi guys just looking at getting a tripod. Is it worth spending the extra dollars on a quality one now or just get one to get me by for now?

I've seen some on ebay for $50au. Does anyone have any bad experiences or negative feedback on a tripod from this price range?
