print setting question

--I have a Canon Pixma Pro 9500 Mk II and I edit my photos in PS Elements 9 and then save to Picasa 3 and print from there...can anyone tell me what the best print setting are for this way of printing? I would print from PS but I keep getting an error message saying that the ICC profiles are not available in PS...
