Color management help

Color management use to be my light box which is now used as a desk lamp. So now I am learning color management. So I have come to a few questions which general reasearch does not answer clearly. Your help is appreciated with the following questions.

1. Monitor drivers, some poeple say that W-7 premium has the U2312hm drivers inbedded in it. But as I look at control panel-appearence and pers....-display-screen resolution- I see my U2312hm's listed, but when continue into advanced settings- color management, it is listed as generic PNP. Should I install the drivers from the disc or website or has windows taken care of that ?? Device manager list it as generic PNP. Is the graphics card calling it generic ??

2. Color management lists sRGB. I have CS6 set at adobe RGB, should I set the monitors in color management at adobe also ???

3. Your vote for RGB, s or adobe ???
