Thanks Sky, there's a lot of information here. Tomorrow I will open the case to clean and check. Tonight, so far the computer has been perfect, but the night is not over yet. I just finished downloading all the MS updates, some failed but later were successful in installing - downloading too many at one time. I will switch to manual download.

If you remove any RAM cards:

  • After you pull the power plug and let the motherboard led go off, be sure to ground yourself to the chassis by touching it with your hands before removing any card. Touching the chassis will eliminate any static electricity in your body which can damage the RAM cards.

  • Only hold the RAM cards by their edges so you don't contact components with your hands. Lay the RAM cards on clean cotton towels, not synthetic, to avoid static electricity.

  • Same goes for any card (RAM or slot cards) you remove from your computer.

It's always a good idea to touch the chassis first before touching anything inside of the computer.
