I think people are forgetting the "micro" part of the micro four thirds system. It really is a system of compromises. If you want the DoF control of a full frame camera then you probably need a full frame camera. If you want the sensor abilities of a full frame camera, then you probably need a full frame camera.

You bought into the wrong system if you thought micro four thirds would give you full frame quality at a "micro" size. The micro four thirds cameras are a series of balances between size and quality. No it isn't the "best" and there is definitely an obsession with wanting to have the "best" on these boards but Panasonic and Olympus are doing a fantastic job of giving us amazing image quality in a very small and attractive package.

The Panasonic 12-35mm F2.8 looks perfect on the E-M5 body. If it was bigger the camera would, at the very least, look unbalanced. It would most likely feel unbalanced as well. The upcoming 35mm-100mm looks like the perfect size as well.

Again, micro four thirds is a series of compromises and Panasonic and Olympus are doing a great job of giving us a great balance between size and image quality. If you want full frame, you have to buy full frame. You can't expect miracles and you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I agree, both Olympus and Panasonic Lumix are doing great, cameras are very good and lenses the same, some are superb.

Micro 4/3 is always going to be the best choice for mirrorless systems.
