Is this always true? For FF to match the DOF of a smaller sensor, you need to stop down. So the FF sensor must be sufficiently more sensitive to light (or allow an increase in ISO) to compensate. Do FF sensors stopped down (to match DOF) always outperform APS-C sensors in light-sensitivity (with equal or less noise) of a similar generation? Or does it depend on the quality of the sensors being considered?
