You seem to be worried for no reason. There is no problem leaving the camera turned on to change lenses. I suspect most folks do it, and I know I have been doing it that way for the last 10 years. I've never had an issue with it.

You will probably hear some people say that the sensor is slightly more likely to attract dust while the power is on, but I belive that's more in theory than in actual practice. Even if that were the case, it would still not be worth the trouble to turn the camera off, since cleaning the sensor is so easy anyway.
