Regarding> How do you work focus with the incredible speed?
I pre-focus on the area where the hummingbird will be (or expect to be) and sit back sipping my coffee and wait for the subject to visit the flower and hit the trigger.
It's too difficult to chase them around with auto-focus. You miss more shots than you will get.
