My first large DP2M Panorama...

Yesterday I created my first large panorama with the DP2M.
I have put a scaled down version (4096x512) into my dpreview
galleries:

The original size of the panorama is 36864 x 4608 or about 170 Megapixels.
Although a bit of the sharpness of the DP2M is lost in the process of stitching
the panorama, the resulting panorama has an extreme amount of detail to offer.
Below you find a few 100% crops (you have to click on "Original" to view them
without scaling artefacts):

The DP2M handled the high dynamic range in this panorama very well (I used
the same manual exposure value for all 21 shots of the panorama), but for

the tress on the right side in front of the sun, I had to shoot extra photos that
excluded the sun in order to avoid the known red-dot flare. So in panoramas
you can work around this issue.

My conclusion: The DP2M is a great camera for shooting panoramas!

Greetings,
Robert
