I picked up a D3200 a couple of weeks back, I wanted a smaller (than my D300) DSLR with movie mode, so the D3200 was the obviouse choice given the "full" manual movie mode.
In terms of IQ I've had no real issues with it, yes the body does overexpose the images by about 1/3 but this is quickly fixed in LR / ACR
Yes the ergonomics suck (in comparison to the D300) single command dial is a step back but what do you expect for a sub £450 body.
Below is a link to some test shots from the camera, most were shot on the 35 f/1.8 with a couple using the 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 (which I'm sure we all know isn't the best lens).
whilst the camera isn't perfect, what you're getting for you money is very very good value and IMO a great walk about camera / second body.
