Did I break my 50D by doing this? I feel like a idiot now.

A couple days ago, I was noticing a lot of dust spots on my images. I got a can of compressed air (!!!) and very lightly sprayed the inside of my camera (the mirrors, I believe, the square thing when you take off your lens). I really don't know what I was thinking at that time.
Cue today, where I tried to turn my camera on. I tried 2 fully charged batteries but no go. I looked through my manual and it stated that I should never use compressed air to clean the camera. I facepalmed at my stupidity for not reading the manual before attempting to clean something so delicate and expensive.
Did I pretty much brick my camera doing this? What are my options?
