Optical zoom 1/2,3" vs Digital zoom 1"

Not sure where you're going with this... if the full frame sensor had a higher pixel density than the crop camera and it allowed me to crop in further, then I may still get better results on the full frame after cropping even with the shorter lens.

In any case, I don't see how this has anything to do with the OP's original question, which judging by his response to my post, I had interpreted correctly and was able to answer satisfactorily.
