This is patently false information. They do not use "micro motors with plastic gears." They are ring motors using ultrasonic waves that convert to rotational energy to move the elements. There is no micro motor and no gear system in the 24/35/85 AF-S 1.4 G lenses. Take one apart and you will see for yourself.
