You're the one not making any sense. The D3x was a marketing flop and the 1D3 proves that full format bodies are no insurance against faulty design.

What would the D3x have in common with a D4 body sportn the exmor ? Basically nothing. You would have sony's hottest new sensor in Nikons best focusing, best everything body. Evidently the D800 body is not even doing what the D700 body did well, focus. If youre so happy with your camera you should go out and use it instead of trying to defend it
