Change your SteadyShot setting to normal instead of active. It still crops a little bit compared to shooting stills but not nearly as much.

I hadn't noticed this yet, but after comparing the widest setting in video mode to still mode(checking to focal length after taking an image), it seems that in video mode, the camera crops to about 33mm.
