Do you sign your print

When I frame a print I generally sign it if I am going to put it on display somewhere or enter it in a show. I sign it on the mat just below the print on the right hand side.

I have been criticize for doing this by some of the other photographers that have prints in the show.

How many here sign their prints and what do all think? Good idea or bad?
