Post firware upgrade sharpness concern?
Aug 10, 2012

First serious usage of 7D since mid-week v2 upgrade, trying to use 100-400 to shoot some long distance sailing action, disappointing results but conditions too hazy to tell for sure. So I swung around and shot this pic at optimum aperture for this lens (f8).

I think I was focused on the centre of the rim of the fountain (where you can see s plash of red). Can you see any part of this pic that is sharp? Does it look to be front-focussing slightly, maybe on the gargoyle things just in front?

FYI, I've never used any MFA for any of my lenses bu post-upgrade I'm wondering if this 100-400 now needs some - kind of the opposite of what others have experienced in the last few days?
