Photosolve Xtend-A-Slide ($69.95): http://www.photosolve.com/main/product/xtendaslide/index.html
Adapter ring
Macro lens
Click, click. Done.
Assuming you have the macro lens, this is an inexpensive way to get digital copies of slides in the full resolution of your camera. Xtend-A-Slide can also hold negative strips. I've used it for years. Get good images down to the Ektachrome film grain, which is plenty good enough.
You can't use the Canon 60mm macro on a 5D2 but the 50mm macro will be plenty good enough and flat enough. If you really wanted to be fancy you'd get a flat-field copy lens, adapter, and EF bellows. My guess is, you'll never be bothered by a more conventional macro lens. The slide adjustment on the Xtend-a-Slide makes it easy to crop and focus.
