Received word back from Nikon. The 24-70 lens is under warranty so no charge and the repair category is S - "Single Price Complete Repair". The D7000 will cost $224 since it's out of warranty and it's repair is categorized as a B2 - "Moderate Repair: Major Parts Replaced". My question is...on the D7000, have they confirmed that there is a problem with it? I don't want to pay that much just for exploratory repairs. Even if I get new parts, if it doesn't improve the focusing it's not worth it.
