RX100 - Zoom Lever

Is mine unique or is this a common characteristic of the zoom lever...

Moving it both to W and T meets with some 'resistance' before actuating the zoom. On mine it takes a small physical effort to overcome the resistance, meaning that the actuation isn't smooth, particularly on the W side.

I kind of feel it shouldn't be that way, but I may be wrong.
