Lens advice - Canon 70-200mm or 70-300mm

Hello All - I'm looking for a little advice from the folks on this forum for the purchase of my next lens. I'm shooting with a 5D Mark III and currently have the 24-105 and a couple of normal primes.
I'm looking for a good telephoto for primarily capturing my kid's outdoor soccer matches, but I also want the lens to have some versatility as well. I know everyone raves about the 70-200mm f2.8 L IS II, but that may be a bit of budget stretch for me. I know each of the following lenses has pros/cons (aperature, IS, sharpness, etc) but which would you recommend the highest?
70-200mm f/2.8L (no IS) - fine for outdoors but then lacks indoor versatility?
70-200mm f/4L IS - slower, but you lose some DOF from the 2.8
70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS - slower but extra focal length
Would love your thoughts on these three lenses (or others if you think I'm missing something).
Thanks.
