What's the most affordable lens for portraits that works on the A77?
Aug 9, 2012

Been looking at the fancy-pants CZ glass (135's and 85's) and realized I don't really care about super high end. Just want a nice fast portrait lens (Say 80-150mm effective focal length) that works on the A77 and will autofocus.

Screw drive type is ok. Would prefer something F/2 or even faster. Can be made by anyone in the last 40 years, as long as it's semi-sharp wide open in the center wide open and gets reallly sharp around 2.8 or so. Do not care about using this for video or anything like that.

I have been researching this but there's so many Konica/Minolta/Maxxum stuff and I have no idea what the best bang for the buck would be.

Thanks! Would like to be at $200 but could do $400 and not hate myself.

Shawn
