Lenses for EPL1

Hello. I've got a question about my EPL1 and lens selection. I want to know about hooking up third party lenses via adapter. Do I have this right? Sigma for Nikon mount + Nikon to 4/3 adapter + adapter to camera. Will I still have full control over the lens as if I were going straight from a Nikon lens + adapter to camera?
