I agree with you that this is becoming a hysteria. People whose shooting is not even affected by the AF issue are now trying to figure out if they have it. I feel some kind of hypochondriac reaction going around.

This really is hysteria. Everyone is concerned about testing for this elusive left focus point AF issue. If you don't see anything that bothers you when you shoot normally with the camera, just enjoy it.
