D800 vs D4 - AF issues possibly related to sensor design?

This is what I heard as a rumor from a local dealer,

I am not sure if its true but the micro - focusing lenses located at the sensor of the D4 seem to be made out of glass were the micro- focusing lenses on the surface of the D800 are made out of plastic.

If this is reallly the case this might make a difference leading to AF inconsistency influenced by a possibly lower optical quality plus additional temperature drifts etc.

This might also explain, why we dont hear much about AF Problems with the D4 in comparison to the D800. I am not sure if the D800E sensor design or hardware is different or not.

We might have some experts on this forum which are technically experienced enough and know some sources which could confirm that there is such a material difference (glass vs. plastic) in between the D4 and the D800 sensor.
