You will enjoy either camera. The K-30 is a fantastic camera with better AF than the K-5 but the K-5 has its advantages as well (like optional battery grip). I believe IQ is virtually identical.
With regard to shutter noise.... I have both a K-r and K-30. The shutter sound is very similar between the two. However, the shutter sound gets noticeably quieter when you attach a WR lens to the K-30. I had been primarily using the 18-135 WR and had thought, "wow, the shutter is much quieter than my K-r." When I switched to the DA L 55-300 lens, that familiar sound returned. It might be slightly quieter, but not much.
