Yep. I stand corrected. True that real HiDef 1080P DVD's would have to be burned via Blueray and I sort-of forgot about that. However, the DVD's I burn with the procedure I described sure look good when played on my cheapie Blueray player. Not true HD but better than SD.
I am hoping to help the OP who seems to be getting sub-par results from his process.
